Accommodation @ The Manor House Botlierskop Private Game Reserve

You’ll stay at the Manor House — a private, elegant retreat set within a Big Five reserve along the Garden Route.

Expect spacious rooms, refined comfort, warm hospitality, and uninterrupted views of wild landscapes.
This is where conservation days soften into restorative nights.

Depending on your travel needs, we cater for both shared accommodation & private luxury. The choice is yours.

How We Pair Participants

We intentionally curate small groups and thoughtfully pair room shares based on personality, pace, and preferences.
You’ll arrive as individuals — and often leave with lifelong connections.

WHAT YOUR DAYS MIGTH LOOK LIKE

We try our best, but nature has its own agenda. Having said that, here is an itinerary that we might just stick to during your stay

Day 1 – Arrival & Grounding

Day 1 – Arrival:

  • Meet us at the airport and exhale — from here on, everything is taken care of

  • Scenic transfer along the Garden Route to The Manor House at Botlierskop Private Game Reserve

  • Time to settle in, unpack, and let the pace slow as the wild edges closer

  • Welcome dinner at the lodge, sharing stories, laughter, and first impressions

  • Meet the Wildest Vet team and the women you’ll be walking this journey with

This day is about arriving — not just physically, but fully.

Day 2 — Where Conservation Gets Real

  • Early breakfast and a packed lunch — the day moves with the needs of wildlife

  • A full day of vet-led conservation fieldwork

  • Go where the crisis is: hands-on veterinary work alongside our professional team

  • Learn, assist, observe, and contribute in ways most people never get access to

  • Real animals. Real stakes. Real impact

  • Return to the lodge tired, changed, and deeply fulfilled

  • Evening boma dinner around the fire

  • Story-sharing, reflection, and the kind of conversations that only happen after days like this

This is the heart of the experience — purposeful, raw, and profoundly grounding.

Day 3 — Culture, Connection & Care

  • A slower, gentler morning — breakfast at the Manor House

  • Visit to a nearby local village

  • Morning tea in a local home, learning stories that don’t make it into guidebooks

  • Create a shweshwe craft gift — hands busy, hearts open

  • Lunch served back at the Manor House

  • Afternoon at your own pace:

    • A restorative spa session or

    • A horseback safari through the reserve

  • Evening dinner followed by traditional drumming

  • Music, rhythm, movement — a celebration of culture and shared humanity

Today is about balance — honouring people, rest, joy, and the softer layers of this work.

Day 4 — Walking Softly, Leaving Changed

  • Early morning bush walk with a local guide

  • Learn about the medicinal uses of fynbos and how nature sustains itself in balance

  • Quiet moments, open landscapes, final reflections

  • Return for breakfast snacks, followed by a relaxed brunch / lunch

  • Final goodbyes — the kind that feel like “see you again”

  • Transfers back to the airport, carrying more than you arrived with

You don’t leave the same woman who arrived — and that’s the point.
